July 2020 Release: Voice Commands and Geofencing in Mobile App

Voice Commands

On Android and iOS (13+) devices, users will now have the ability to search for Inkdocs hands-free. Upon tapping Search in the updated version of the app, users will be prompted with the option to enable Voice Commands. Depending on whether the device is Android or iOS, users will be prompted to “Enable Audio” or “Add Search Inkling to Siri”. Enabling this feature will allow users to search for a phrase within Inkling, without having to open the app. The top 5 relevant Inkdoc titles will appear, and using voice commands, the Inkdoc can be opened in the app, all hands-free.

Geofencing

Inkling has partnered with a customer in retail services to implement a pilot for the Geofencing feature! Company content in the native mobile app can now be restricted based on the location of the mobile device. Geofences have been built for specified distances around store addresses, and users outside of the Geofence will no longer be able to access the Inkling app. As soon as the user re-enters the store location, access to company content in the app will be restored. How to upgrade the Mobile App:

The new version will be released on August 3rd. Go to the App Store (for iOS) or Google Store (Android) to download!
